Mr. Toshikazu Matsuoka
Chief Executive (Future City), Environment Bureau, City of Kitakyushu

Mr. Matsuoka graduated from Kyushu Institute of Technology in 1981 and entered the Kitakyushu City Government. He served for 6 years as Director for Planning Division of Environment Bureau before serving as Executive Director for New Industry Department of Science and Industry Bureau. He is currently Chief Executive (Future City) of Environment Bureau.
He has been a member of the subcommittee on the post-2013 countermeasures of the Global Environment Committee of the Central Environment Council.


Dr. Vinod Khadkikar

He received his M. Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology (I.I.T.), New Delhi, India, in 2002 and Ph.D. from the École de Technologie Supérieure (E.T.S.), Montréal, Canada, in 2008, all in Electrical Engineering.
From December 2008 to March 2010, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Western Ontario, London, Canada. Since April 2010 he is an Assistant Professor at Masdar Institute, Abu Dhabi, UAE. From April 2010 to December 2010, he was a visiting faculty at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.), Cambridge, USA. His research interests include applications of power electronics in distribution systems and renewable energy resources, power quality enhancement, control of micro-girds and smart grids.


Dr. Md. Atiqur Rahman Ahad

He studied at the University of Dhaka (Bangladesh), University of New South Wales (Australia) & Kyushu Institute of Technology (Japan). He recently finished the JSPS Postdoctoral Fellow and Visiting Researcher in Japan. He was a Research Fellow of Renewable Energy Research Institute (former Center), University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He is the organizer of IEEE/OSA/IAPR ICIEV. He is the founder and former-Coordinator of Bangladesh Environment Network Japan (BENJapan). He got best paper awards in IWCIA 2008 in USA, BMFSA 2008 in Japan, IEEE ICCIT 2011 in Bangladesh, SICE International scholarship Award 2012 in Japan and few other academic awards. He has published a number of International journal and conference papers. He is looking forward to meeting experts and learning, and making networks for future research activities.
